Pictures furnished by Larry Bourbonnais.
Looking at the battery from the side of the Exec. Post. First gun one the right #3,
first gun on the left #4, gun on the right in back ground #2, and the gun in the back ground on the left is gun #1. This picture
was taken in March or April of 1969. We still had the old guns.
This is a photo of the radar side of the hill and the infantry. As you can see the
flag is at half-mast. I don't know for sure when it was taken but I would say it was after LTC Stinson was killed in March
You can also see the upper chopper pad in this shot.
Left to right, Tubby, Alabama, and Bruno checking gas masks.
Guys with the Quad 50 testing guns. I can't remember the names of the guys on the quad
Quad 50 1969 LZ Professional.
This shot was taken at the bottom of the hill on the lower chopper pad. You can see
the Quad 50 at the top on the left and you can see gun #1 just to the right of it. Photo taken in 1969.
This photo was taken looking out from gun #3. Larry Bourbonnais is in this photo. The
water that you see standing is in bomb craters.
This photo was of the same valley only this one is with fog.
This photo and the one above are the same area. If you look hard in this one, you will
see smoke in the upper part of the picture. I can't remember if it was Charlie Battery on a fire mission causing the smoke
or if it was a bombing run. The smoke was not very far from our position. Photo taken in 1969.
This photo was taken from a chopper, you are looking at the lower chopper pad on LZ
Professional. If you look hard you will see the purple smoke.
Sunset on LZ Professional 1969.
